The Alicante Futura Summit will bring together the entire innovation ecosystem of Alicante and the surrounding province on October 7 and 8 at the Scientific Park of the University of Alicante. This event, organized by Impulsalicante, comes as Alicante has been chosen for the second year in a row as one of six semifinalists for the title of European Capital of Innovation 2027.
The summit will feature institutions, companies, and universities showcasing major technological advancements in strategic sectors such as Artificial Intelligence. Mari Carmen de España, the city’s Councilor for Employment and Promotion, encouraged participation, stating that "for two days, the Alicante Futura Summit becomes the main platform to present projects, solutions, sectors, organizations, and opportunities for innovation.”
She emphasized the city’s growing role as a recognized player in technological development and innovation, noting its semifinalist status in the iCapital awards by the European Commission, where it competes against notable cities like Madrid, Valencia, Manchester, Montpellier, and Tallinn.
The summit will offer a variety of activities, including conferences, panels, workshops, parallel sessions, product presentations, and networking opportunities, all designed to foster an open, dynamic environment for innovation.
