This Saturday, 17 October, at 20:00, the Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja will welcome Gata Brass Band, a musical ensemble from Almería, as they present their show 'paraíso gata' for the first time in the town. The performance is based on the repertoire of their album 'paraíso'.
The band is known for its energetic and rhythmic performances that foster a strong connection with the audience. Ana María Muñoz, the councillor for Culture, praised the quality and originality of the show, stating, "We continue to support a varied and high-quality cultural programme that brings innovative and attractive musical proposals to our municipality for all audiences. Gata Brass Band offers us an opportunity to enjoy live music from a group renowned for its talent, creativity, and stage presence."
Gata Brass Band has an extensive history on stage, having participated in festivals and venues across Spain and internationally. Their music fuses the traditions of New Orleans brass bands with Latin rhythms, funk, rock, and electronic music, incorporating wind instruments, percussion, a powerful soul voice, and beatbox. The result is a dynamic and participatory show where audience interaction plays a significant role.
With 'paraíso gata', the band showcases live compositions from their album 'paraíso', reflecting their musical and scenic evolution and offering an experience filled with rhythm, strength, and creativity. Muñoz encouraged both locals and visitors to attend the performance, saying, "We invite all music lovers to enjoy a special night at our Cultural Centre, with a group that turns every concert into a true musical celebration."
The concert will take place this Saturday, 17 October, at 20:00, with doors opening at 19:30. Advance tickets are priced at 12 euros and can be purchased through the website www.gatabrassband.com/entradas.
