The Community of Madrid has attended the 24th Telemadrid bullfighting awards, which celebrate the achievements of the recent San Isidro fair, one of the most significant events in the Spanish bullfighting calendar.

The awards ceremony took place at the Teatro Rooftop Lírico in the capital, presided over by Her Royal Highness Infanta Doña Elena de Borbón. Notable attendees included Carlos Novillo, the regional councillor for Environment, Agriculture and Interior, and Mariano de Paco Serrano, the councillor for Culture, Tourism and Sport.

This year, the jury awarded the title of Best Matador to Alejandro Talavante, a prominent figure in the bullfighting arena. Additionally, the bull Cantaor from the Victoriano del Río ranch was recognised as the Best Bull.

The event also featured a posthumous tribute to journalist Miguel Ángel Moncholi, who was awarded the Honorary Prize for his contributions to the field.
