la térmica village arrives in estepona this saturday with a free cultural day

The town hall of Estepona has announced that the travelling project la térmica village will arrive in the city on 7 November, offering a free and open event that will feature live music, creative proposals, participatory workshops, live art, and a design market. Organised in collaboration with the Estepona town hall, the event will run from 12:00 to 20:00 at the plaza del ajedrez, with free access for all.

Music will take centre stage during the day, showcasing a variety of styles and interpretations of live music, including jazz, alternative rock, dream rock, contemporary R&B, and electronic sessions. Alongside the musical performances, there will be a range of participatory activities aimed at all audiences, featuring workshops and creative dynamics for families to experience and enjoy together. Additionally, throughout the day, attendees can explore a market area offering artisanal products and other creative proposals.

DJ MODERNO is a prominent figure in the national indie-electronic scene, boasting over 20 years of experience. He has performed at major clubs and festivals across Spain, such as FIB, Sonorama, and Cooltural Fest, and is a resident DJ in renowned venues in Madrid. His sets blend indie pop/rock, alternative music, and electronic sounds, creating live mashups using Ableton Live.

CHINACHINACHINA, a musical trio from Málaga, combines dream rock, contemporary R&B, electronic elements, and jungle rhythms. Their debut album, "dive in / breathe out," produced alongside John Foyle and Mucky, showcases a broad and hypnotic sonic style influenced by artists like London Grammar and The xx.

CARMEN LANCHO has taken an unconventional path in music, transitioning from choral singing to jazz, ultimately finding her voice through writing in Spanish. This transformative process has allowed her to express herself authentically.

POLARNOVA, formed in 2020, is an international rock band known for its British-inspired melodies and powerful rhythms, quickly establishing itself as an emerging force in the alternative rock scene.

DEPRESIÓN SONORA is the musical project of Marcos Crespo, born in Vallecas in 1997. His songs explore themes of anxiety and disenchantment through a post-punk sound with lo-fi influences, reflecting the concerns of a generation shaped by hyper-productivity and the digital environment.
