Construction of Rosa Chacel library in Hortaleza progresses under supervision

Paloma García Romero, the delegate for Works and Equipment, along with David Pérez, the councillor for Hortaleza, conducted a technical visit to the Rosa Chacel Library, currently under construction at Calle Silvano, 101. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027, with an investment of €8.5 million.

At present, work is focused on the electrical installations and the layout of various rooms, which will be followed by the development of the outdoor area, featuring a reading zone and a pergola.

The library will encompass a total built area of 3,194 square metres distributed over three floors. Its entrance hall will serve as a central hub, providing access to other services, public restrooms, a relaxation area, and vending machines.

Additional facilities will include a newspaper library for reading and consulting newspapers and magazines, a lending room, spaces for children and young users, as well as rooms designated for workshops, reading, and study.
