Minimum wage to rise by 5.3% in 2027 to €1,286 per month
The final figure, currently undergoing public consultation and set to be approved soon by the Council of Ministers, represents an increase of €65, five euros more than the experts' proposal.
The Spanish government has announced a 5.3% increase in the minimum wage for 2027, bringing it to €1,286 per month. This decision is expected to be ratified shortly by the Council of Ministers after a period of public consultation.
The increase, amounting to €65, exceeds the initial recommendation made by economic experts by five euros. The announcement was made by the Second Vice President and Minister of Labour and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, during a recent event in Madrid.
Díaz's intervention took place on 23 October at the presentation of the book 'Escapar del capitalismo: una intervención' by Italian economist Clara Mattei.
