Sagunto prepares for elrow festival with special mobility measures

Sagunto is set to host the elrow Horroween festival on Saturday, 31 October, at the Internúcleos venue. The event will run from 14:00 to 02:00 and is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees across three stages.

In anticipation of the large crowd, the local council and festival organisers are urging visitors to plan their journeys and adhere to mobility guidelines to minimise disruption in the city. Those travelling from Sagunto or Puerto de Sagunto can take advantage of urban public transport, which will operate a special service for the day. Line D will run every 20 minutes from 14:00, while the night service, Bus Nit, will operate every 30 minutes.

For those using private vehicles, it is recommended to park in areas away from the festival site. Visitors coming from Valencia are encouraged to use shuttle services provided by the organisers, which will have a designated drop-off area nearby. A taxi stand will also be available close to the venue.

Residents not attending the festival who need to travel between the two areas should use Avenida de la Vila or Calle Albert Einstein. Access to the commercial zone in the west and the Municipal Sports Centre (Internúcleos) should be from Sagunto or via Avenida de la Vila, while access to the eastern commercial area should be from Puerto de Sagunto. Signage for these routes will be in place on the day of the event.

The festival is being organised in collaboration with the Sagunto City Council, including the Departments of Activities, Festivals and Popular Culture, Public Space and Mobility, as well as the Local Police and the public company SAG. A comprehensive security and traffic management operation will be in place throughout the day.

Three local festive organisations—the Federations of Peñas from Sagunto and Puerto de Sagunto, and the Federació Junta Fallera de Sagunt—are also involved in the event. Javier Raro, the councillor for Public Space and Mobility, stated, “Hosting a festival of this scale is a significant challenge for the municipality. We want it to be successful while minimising the impact on the rest of the community.” He urged attendees to follow the announced and signposted routes and to make use of the public transport options provided, while also encouraging responsible enjoyment of the event.
