Teatro Paseo de la Velada to host 'Museum XL' for La Línea schools on 25 November

The La Línea de la Concepción City Council, through its Culture Department led by Raquel Ñeco, is offering local educational institutions the chance to participate in 'Museum XL: The History of Art for Children'. This performance by La Líquida will take place on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, at the Teatro Paseo de la Velada.

This initiative is part of Abecedaria, a school programme managed by the Andalusian Network of Public Theatres and the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions (AAIICC). The event will feature two performances, each lasting sixty minutes, at 10:00 and 12:00.

'Museum XL' is aimed at children aged 6 to 11 and offers an opportunity to connect theatrical experiences with learning and discovering art outside the classroom. Through theatre, objects, puppets, and projections, the show provides an interactive journey through art history, aiming to spark curiosity and stimulate creativity, sensitivity, and expression among children.

Interested school management teams and teachers must request places for their institutions using the official Abecedaria form, selecting the '2026 Municipios Abecedaria 2026-27' call, the municipality 'Cádiz/Línea de la Concepción (La)', and the show 'Museum XL'. The programme office will confirm the allocation of places, the time slot, and attendance conditions.

This activity is part of a concerted school initiative, with a fee of 4 euros per student, while accompanying teachers are exempt from payment. Participation is subject to availability and confirmation from the organisers. The City Council encourages local schools to incorporate this experience into their cultural activity programmes and to submit their requests through the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions.
