Publicacions de la Universitat Jaume I has received the Editorial Career Award at the 14th edition of the Plaça del Llibre in Valencia, which took place from 21 to 25 October in the Botanical Garden of the University of Valencia. This award acknowledges the 35 years of editorial rigor, professional vocation, and cultural commitment of the university publisher, which has been part of the public university in Castellón since its establishment in 1991.
Over these three and a half decades, the university press has built a bibliographic collection of more than 1,700 titles in both physical and digital formats, in addition to managing 12 open-access scientific journals and around thirty thematic collections. This trajectory has been validated by numerous accolades, including several National University Publishing Awards and the Joan Lluís Vives Award.
The press is also actively involved in editorial networks such as the Union of Spanish University Publishers (UNE), the Xarxa Vives of Universities, CEDRO, and the Association of Publishers of the Valencian Community (AEPV).
The award was accepted by Ramón Feenstra, the rector's delegate for the Direction of the Cabinet, Open Science, and Integrity, along with editor Carme Pinyana.
