A Coruña honours Druidas Béisbol Club for 35 years of achievements

The city council of A Coruña has celebrated the achievements of the Druidas Béisbol Club during a reception held at the Palacio Municipal de María Pita. The event, hosted by the councillor for sports, Manuel Vázquez Martínez, recognised the club's 35-year history and its recent participation in the national finals of the División de Honor Plata.

Founded in 1991, the Druidas Béisbol Club has made significant strides in promoting baseball in the region. Earlier this month, the club competed in the national finals held in Gandía, where they faced some of the top teams in their category. Notably, the Druidas secured a victory against the Sevilla Red Sox with a score of 11-4.

The reception, which took place in the Salón de Plenos, was attended by club president Ricardo José Moscoso Pablo, player Francisco Osma, and other team members and coaching staff. During the gathering, the city council praised the club's dedication over the past three decades and its role in fostering baseball in A Coruña.

As a token of institutional recognition, Manuel Vázquez presented the club president with a crystal replica of the Torre de Hércules, a historic lighthouse and symbol of the city.
