The Ajuntament d'Eivissa has announced the upcoming musical event 'Tardeo entre sopranos', which will take place on Thursday, 22 October, at 20:30 at the Espai Cultural Can Ventosa. This concert will bring together three notable local musicians: soprano Lucía Herranz, mezzo-soprano Isabel Albaladejo, and pianist Llorenç Prats.
Under the inviting slogan 'Opera, laughter, and good company', the concert aims to provide a different approach to lyrical music, moving away from more formal formats to create an accessible and enjoyable experience for all audiences. Designed as a true lyrical tardeo, the event encourages attendees to leave behind their daily obligations and immerse themselves in an evening where two voices and a piano will guide them through various musical landscapes.
This concert presents an opportunity to discover or reconnect with the expressive richness of vocal music in a relaxed setting, where artistic quality merges with entertainment. Carmen Domínguez, the Councillor for Culture at the Ajuntament d'Eivissa, emphasised the importance of promoting cultural initiatives that make various artistic disciplines more accessible to new audiences. She stated, 'We want culture to be part of our residents' daily lives and for spaces like Can Ventosa to serve as places for gathering, enjoyment, and discovery. This concert demonstrates that lyrical music can also be fun, surprising, and accessible, without compromising artistic excellence.'
Domínguez also highlighted the talent of local performers, saying, 'It is a source of pride to have musicians from Eivissa who have developed high-quality careers and remain connected to our city. The Ajuntament aims to showcase this talent and provide opportunities for the public to enjoy it here in Eivissa.'
