58 wineries to participate in palma's raïm wine fest

The third edition of the Raïm Wine Fest in Palma will take place on Saturday, 24 October, featuring 58 wineries from across Mallorca. The festival aims to celebrate Mallorcan wine, its producers, and the region's unique identity.

Organised by Vi de la Terra Mallorca with support from the Ajuntament de Palma, this year's event will expand its venue to include Ses Voltes, alongside the Parc de la Mar. The festival will run from 12:00 to 01:00, combining wine, gastronomy, and music.

Jaime Martínez Llabrés, the Mayor of Palma, stated during the festival's presentation, "The Raïm Wine Fest has established itself as a key date in Palma's gastronomic calendar, providing an opportunity to showcase the quality and diversity of wines from Palma and Mallorca, as well as the efforts of the wineries and professionals who keep this sector alive."

This year's festival coincides with Palma's designation as the Mediterranean Gastronomic Capital, allowing for greater visibility of local products and recognition of the various sectors contributing to the region's culinary identity.

Mateu Morro, president of Vi de la Terra Mallorca, highlighted the festival's role as a vital event in the island's wine calendar, providing a platform for producers to share their knowledge and showcase their wines. He noted that the participation of 58 wineries is a significant strength of this edition.

The participating wineries include 7103 Petit Celler, Amero, Ava Vi, Binigrau, and many others, reflecting the rich viticultural heritage of the island.

Gastronomy will also be a major focus, with collaboration from Restauració Mallorca CAEB. Various restaurants and food establishments will offer culinary delights featuring local ingredients. Notable participants include Bodega Morey, La Infame, and Can Bibiloni, alongside food trucks offering diverse culinary options.

The addition of Ses Voltes will enhance the festival's offerings, including five popular enogastronomic workshops. These sessions will pair wines from Vi de la Terra Mallorca with dishes prepared by renowned chefs, bakers, and restaurateurs, running from 12:00 to 19:00.

Music will play a significant role in this year's festival, with two stages set up to accommodate a variety of performances, including those aimed at children. The main stage will be located in front of the iconic La Seu cathedral, while the second stage will be at Ses Voltes, allowing for a more comprehensive experience.

The Raïm Wine Fest is free to enter and has been declared a Municipal Public Interest Activity by the Ajuntament de Palma, recognising its importance in promoting Mallorcan wines. The festival receives support from various governmental bodies and local businesses.
