The cultural department of CCOO Región de Murcia has successfully organised 50 cultural events in its first year of operation, which commenced following the organisation's XIII Congress held in May 2025. Between October 2025 and June 2026, the initiative featured guided tours with a social focus, a series of talks and conferences, a film cycle, as well as activities in two cities and two reading clubs.
The events took place in the cities of Murcia, Cartagena, and Lorca, attracting significant participation from members and supporters of the union. The Communication and Culture Secretariat of CCOO RM has compiled this activity into a comprehensive 117-page report.
Teresa Fuentes, the Secretary General, emphasised that the establishment of this new cultural area within the union has proven to be a successful initiative. She reaffirmed the commitment to continue developing new activities for the upcoming 2026/2027 season, which is set to commence in September.
