The gastronomic programme 'Cebollas verdes' on La Radio Canaria will welcome barista Kim Ossemblock this Friday at 21:05. Ossemblock, a prominent advocate of coffee culture, will share insights into the unique characteristics of coffee, its varieties, and production locations.
He is the author of '¡Al grano!', a comprehensive guide to the world of coffee that was first published a decade ago and has recently been reissued. Additionally, Ossemblock founded 'Café Online', a training platform that has educated over 300,000 individuals, and he wrote 'Café Sensible', a manual focused on tasting techniques.
The programme, hosted by Elena Barrios, will also feature a conversation with chef José Luis Espino, who runs HALMA, a new restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The latter part of the show will highlight Arconada, an innovative project that merges wine, culture, and landscape in the Tenerife municipality of Los Realejos. Sommelier Belén López will introduce listeners to this initiative, which will take place from 12 to 27 November across seven local wineries.
“It offers seven pairing experiences that blend winemaking, culture, and landscape at seven wineries in Los Realejos,” explains Barrios. The events will combine wine tastings with artistic performances, including theatre, dance, and visual arts.
'Cebollas verdes' airs every Friday at 21:05 on La Radio Canaria, with a repeat broadcast on Saturdays at 13:30.
