Cicle Gaudí to screen Tanit in November, a fable about growth and maturity

The Cicle Gaudí will present the film Tanit this November, a tender and fantastical tale about the transition to maturity, familial ties, and friendship. The film will be screened in 67 municipalities across the province, supported by the Diputación de Barcelona.

Based on a story by writer Núria Albó and directed by Pep Garrido, Tanit takes viewers into the forests of Montseny, exploring the relationship between the young protagonist and her grandmother, Perona, a solitary woman regarded by many as a witch. The film features performances by Dolça Salvans, Isabel Rocatti, Núria Molas, Sara Espigul, and Sergio Caballero, with original music composed by Clara Peya to enhance this narrative that blends fantasy with reality, offering a child's perspective on the world.

The screenings will take place throughout November as part of the Cicle Gaudí, a stable circuit promoted by the Catalan Film Academy with the backing of the Diputación de Barcelona.
