Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa is set to host Athletic Club on 2 November at 21:00 local time (22:00 on the Spanish mainland) at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium. This match, part of the ninth round of Liga F, will take place just hours after the CD Tenerife faces Andorra at 13:00.
The women's team has agreed to allow the match to be played at Heliodoro, which is primarily used for men's football. The schedule for the Liga F has been adjusted, moving the match two hours later than originally planned.
After nearly a month away from home, Costa Adeje Tenerife will be looking to make a strong impression against a formidable opponent: Athletic Club, currently sitting fourth in the league table. The Tenerife side, managed by Yerai Martín, has accumulated 11 points so far. They are coming off a narrow 3-2 defeat against Real Madrid at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium but had previously secured victories against Valencia, Logroño United, and Badalona Women, achieving three wins in their last five matches.
Athletic Club, on the other hand, has gathered 15 points from eight matches, with four wins, three draws, and one loss. They recently drew 0-0 with Sevilla, following wins against Atlético de Madrid and Valencia.
Natalia Padilla, one of the team’s top scorers with three goals, acknowledged the challenge ahead: “We know they have a great team with good players, and it’s going to be a tough match.” She also called for support from the fans, whom she considers “another player.”
The last five encounters in Liga F between Costa Adeje Tenerife and Athletic Club have been closely contested, with each team winning two matches and one ending in a draw. The Tenerife side has scored eight goals compared to Athletic's seven. In their most recent home matches, Tenerife has won both, including a decisive 5-0 victory in January 2026. Furthermore, Athletic has not triumphed in this fixture since April 2025.
