The Gran Teatro de Manzanares is set to welcome the 37th edition of the 'Ciudad de Manzanares' Coral Meeting this weekend, organised by the Coral Polifónica 'Mater Assumpta'. This event is a highlight of the cultural calendar in Manzanares, a town located in the province of Ciudad Real, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha.
Weekend performances
The event will feature two main performances, both scheduled for 20:00 hours. On Saturday, the Coro de los Estudiantes de Cádiz, a mixed choir renowned for its success in the Cádiz Carnival, will perform. This group won the First Prize at the Official Competition of Carnival Groups (COAC) in 2025 with their entry 'El Gallinero' and secured the Third Prize in 2026 with 'Las Mil Maravillas'.
On Sunday, the Coral 'Maestro Ibáñez' from Valdepeñas will perform for the first time in Manzanares, under the direction of Carmelo Navas. Their programme will focus on film soundtracks, followed by a performance from the host choir, which will present a renewed repertoire including five original works.

Tickets for the Saturday performance are available for purchase on the Globalentradas website and at the Gran Teatro box office during regular hours, as well as two hours before the show.
