The Calahorra City Council has opened the submission period for proposals to participate in the design competition for the official poster of the 31st Gastronomic Vegetable Festival, which will be held in the 'City of Vegetables' from 16 to 25 April 2027. This event is one of the most significant occasions on the city’s cultural and gastronomic calendar and has been declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.

Artists and designers of all ages are invited to participate, with no limit on the number of entries submitted. Minors may also enter through their legal representatives, provided they meet the specified requirements outlined in the competition guidelines.

All submissions must be original and unpublished, and they should not have been awarded prizes in other competitions or previously used as promotional material for other events. Entries can be submitted in both physical and digital formats, and should approximately measure 46.5 x 65 centimetres in a vertical layout.

Designs must include the texts “31st Gastronomic Vegetable Festival” and “Calahorra. Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. From 16 to 25 April 2027,” along with images of vegetables grown in Calahorra, such as cauliflower, and must incorporate the corporate image provided by the Tourism Department.

The submission period will remain open until 23:59 on 3 December 2026. Proposals can be delivered in person at the Deán Palacios Cultural Centre, sent by post or transport, or emailed to turismo@calahorra.es.

The competition offers a single prize of €800 gross for the winning poster, which will become the official image of the 31st Gastronomic Vegetable Festival. The jury will evaluate aspects such as originality and creativity, artistic quality, relevance to the festival and the city of Calahorra, visual impact, and adaptability of the work to various promotional materials.

Complete guidelines and necessary documentation for participation are available on the municipal website.
