The cultural centre La Confianza is currently hosting the photographic exhibition titled '13 perspectives of solidarity. 13 sensitivities', which will run until 9 November. This exhibition aims to capture the essence of volunteerism in the region of Castilla-La Mancha.
Vanessa Irla, the deputy mayor for culture, attended the opening of the exhibition, stating that it serves not only to recognise the work of volunteers but also to encourage more individuals to dedicate their time to helping others. She emphasised, “The most important aspect of volunteer work is our awareness that, thanks to them, we can change many lives.”
Mari Carmen Palomares, president of the Castilla-La Mancha Volunteer Platform, highlighted that the exhibition is itinerant and will be showcased in other provinces across the region. She noted its purpose is to raise awareness about commitment, solidarity, and the efforts of millions of volunteers in Castilla-La Mancha. Palomares also mentioned that the region boasts over 170,000 volunteers, representing 9.8% of the population, which reflects its strong commitment to solidarity.
'13 perspectives of solidarity. 13 sensitivities' serves as a reminder of the generosity and commitment of individuals who selflessly dedicate their time to others.
