the xiv jornadas por la paz will occur on friday, 23 october, under the theme 'la paz en el eco y el susurro de las letras', featuring two literary encounters focused on poetry and reflections on human values and coexistence. the first event will begin at 11:00 am with participation from magdalena sánchez blesa, a poet, writer, and actress from murcia, known for her work that explores emotions and human relationships from an intimate perspective.
in the afternoon, at 5:30 pm, lawyer and writer luis manuel alcántara jiménez will speak, addressing topics related to personal relationships, mutual support, and the importance of community bonds. his notable works include 'esperanza entre las sombras' and 'pantallas entre nosotros'.
the association also revealed the names of the awardees for the viii edition of the premios noble de la paz, with the awards ceremony scheduled for friday, 30 october, at 7:00 pm, also at the casa de la cultura. in the collective category, the award will go to proyecto hombre málaga, an organisation with a long history in addiction prevention and treatment, as well as supporting affected individuals and their families. in the individual category, the award will be presented to angelina molina lópez, in recognition of her dedication to volunteering and participation in various charitable initiatives.
the gala will also feature a delegation from the town hall of adamuz, a locality in cordoba that hosted a peace flag raising event organised by the association on 11 june. this visit aims to strengthen the ties established between the two towns concerning peace promotion and awareness activities.
additionally, the asociación juntos por la paz announced plans for another peace flag raising in the neighbouring municipality of mijas before the end of the year, with the date yet to be determined. both events are part of the association's efforts to promote a culture of peace, solidarity, coexistence, and recognition of individuals and entities associated with these values.
