Life, death and consciousness explored in new book by A. M. Tavira

A. M. Tavira's new book, Huir de la nada. El arte de reconstruirse, delves into profound themes of life, death, and consciousness. The author presented his work on 4 November 2026 at the Centro Cultural La Confianza in Valdepeñas, where he shared insights from his personal journey.

Vanessa Irla, the Deputy Mayor for Culture, attended the presentation and praised Tavira's bravery in sharing his experiences. She remarked, “This is a book in which he completely bares himself, attempting to share everything he has inside, while also encouraging us to reflect on the lessons he has learned through life's challenges. It serves as a reminder that life is singular and lived only once.”

Tavira, who has faced numerous setbacks and experiences, offers his reflections on themes such as loneliness, pain, illness, and love. He emphasised, “It is important to understand that within one life, there are many lives, and within one day, there are many days. We must be aware that nothing is predetermined or established.” He pointed out that many people live on autopilot, which can harm those around them, and stressed the need to differentiate between unintentional harm and intentional malice.

With Huir de la nada. El arte de reconstruirse, Tavira does not aim to impart lessons but rather to provide a roadmap for those undergoing a process of reconstruction.
