Ordino has kicked off the 34th Mostra Gastronòmica this Saturday, transforming the parish into a prominent showcase for the culinary delights of the Pyrenees. Over the weekend, visitors can explore how to elevate everyday dishes, discover the best wine pairings, and learn the art of preparing traditional noodles.
The venue, La Buna in Ordino, has once again been transformed into a 'Gastrolab', featuring workshops, demonstrations, and tastings throughout the day. One of the highlights this Saturday morning was chef Ada Parellada, who encouraged attendees to think beyond traditional nougat as a Christmas dessert, showcasing ways to incorporate this sweet into various dishes. Later, she returned for a session focused on Catalan cuisine, her area of expertise.
For those eager to take home some culinary delights, the Plaza Mayor of Ordino is hosting the Salón Gourmet, featuring stalls where gastronomic products take centre stage. Activities will continue throughout the weekend, offering workshops, tastings, and experiences for all palates. As is tradition, the gastronomic showcase will culminate on Sunday with participation from around twenty local restaurants.
