The team behind the programme 'Terrero y Gloria' will travel to Fuerteventura this Sunday, 8 November, to broadcast the lucha match between CL Maxorata and CL Chimbesque live from the Pedro Sánchez arena in Tarajalejo. This event is part of the fifth round of the Liga Cabildos OPC-Sumytrans 2026-2027 season and can be followed on Canarias Play and YouTube at 12:40, and on TDT at 18:00.
In its second episode of the season, 'Terrero y Gloria' will witness a thrilling showdown featuring the return of Eusebio Ledesma, a prominent 'A' category wrestler, to the team he represented for seven successful seasons. Ledesma will compete for CL Chimbesque, the double champion of the Canary Islands, against Kiren González, the current leading figure of CL Maxorata, who is in his second season with the majorero team.
Both wrestlers are well-acquainted, having faced each other numerous times in memorable matches. CL Chimbesque enters this contest as the favourite, having won all four of their opening matches. In addition to Ledesma, the team boasts a competitive roster, including 'C' category wrestler Víctor Pimienta.
CL Maxorata, on the other hand, has a record of two wins and one loss and is prepared to challenge the favourites. For an upset to occur, the majorero team will need strong performances from their 'A' category wrestlers, Rafa Elvira and Valentín Torres, who are expected to play crucial roles in this exciting duel.
The broadcast will feature commentary from Willy Rodríguez Calero and analysis from David Yanes, with Jorge Benítez conducting interviews with the competitors at the arena. As usual, the pre-match segment will be hosted by Beatriz García, alongside the distinctive style of José Manuel Pitti.
After the lucha match, 'Terrero y Gloria' will gather insights from the participants and showcase highlights from other notable matches taking place over the weekend. The programme will also include exclusive reports from Nereida Alonso on the Canary Islands' expedition to Korea for the upcoming World Traditional Korean Wrestling Championship, known as Ssireum. To conclude, a new segment featuring the latest addition to the team, Juan Espino Dieppa, will provide his unique perspective and analysis on current issues in lucha canaria.
