The 27th Media Maratón Tierra y Olivo is set to take place on Sunday, 25 October, in Dos Hermanas, with over 1,600 participants registered for the event. This annual race has become a hallmark of the local sporting calendar.

The race will commence at 9:30 AM from the Antonio Guzmán Tacón athletics track at the Los Montecillos Municipal Sports Complex. The event was announced by Victoria Tirsa Hervás Torres, the Sports Delegate of the Dos Hermanas City Council, along with key representatives from local athletic clubs and organisations.

Among the new features this year is a pre-race “shakeout” session, organised by ALEA Running Social Club, which will take place on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Ciudad del Conocimiento (Knowledge City). This gathering aims to foster a sense of community among runners and ease pre-race nerves.

Additionally, ASPACE Sevilla will participate through its “Agentes de Cambio” project, which encourages the inclusion of individuals with cerebral palsy in community events. During the race, ASPACE will set up an animation and refreshment point at their headquarters, allowing participants to engage actively and contribute to changing perceptions of disability.

The City Council has assured that special security measures, traffic management, and refreshment services will be in place to ensure the smooth running of the event and the safety of all participants.
