Torre de Juan Abad (Ciudad Real), October 4, 2026 - The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced its support for the sixth edition of the International Early Music Festival, emphasizing its dedication to promoting cultural access and engagement. This year's festival will extend its presence to six municipalities across three provinces, aiming to decentralize cultural offerings and enhance the historical and artistic heritage of the region.

Carmen Teresa Olmedo, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, attended the cultural event in Torre de Juan Abad. She highlighted the significance of such initiatives in making culture accessible to all corners of Castilla-La Mancha, encouraging citizen participation, and utilizing historical heritage as a means of cultural and tourism dynamism.

Olmedo stated that the festival's goal is to showcase the richness of Castilla-La Mancha's cultural heritage. She noted that this collaboration exemplifies the importance of networking to broaden cultural offerings and improve access to culture in local communities.

Additionally, the regional government is launching a 10-hour training initiative for teachers through the Teacher Training Center, aimed at integrating early music into classrooms. This educational effort is complemented by the establishment of the Baroque Academy CLM Antiqva, a new project that will allow young performers to refine their skills alongside specialists in historical performance.

The festival, running from September 26 to October 31, features a diverse program that includes concerts, guided tours, and gastronomic experiences. Through this initiative, the regional government seeks to bring culture closer to municipalities, foster musical talent, and leverage heritage as a resource for cultural, tourism, and economic development in Castilla-La Mancha.
