The city of Talavera de la Reina has successfully hosted a three-day Warhammer 40K event, reinforcing its commitment to fantasy culture. The event attracted more than 850 participants and around 1,484 visitors at the Talavera Ferial facilities, which expanded its programming and spaces this year.
Gerardo Sánchez, president of the Talavera Ferial foundation, highlighted the positive response from the public, stating, “Talavera de la Reina has experienced three intense days centred around the universe of Warhammer 40K, with a programme that has turned the event into a meeting point for fans, participants, and families.”
This year's edition introduced a new pavilion, Pavilion 3, dedicated to Talavera Maldita. Visitors had the opportunity to view a miniature recreation of the Battle of Talavera and enjoy exhibitions and demonstrations inspired by popular universes such as Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, anime, Pokémon, and Star Trek. The space also hosted the Iron Tournament and The Secrets of Westeros, broadening the appeal for diverse audiences.
The programme retained some of its standout features, with the Warhammer 40K tournament remaining a major attraction. The fifth edition of the Ceramic Brush event took place in Pavilion 1 alongside various commercial stands. Sánchez remarked, “The high participation, variety of activities, and expanded spaces leave a particularly satisfactory balance.”
He added that the event enhances Talavera de la Reina's ability to attract visitors, showcase different creative communities, and provide an increasingly comprehensive experience. The overall assessment of the three days has been overwhelmingly positive, confirming the city's potential as a host for events dedicated to fantasy culture.
