The AEH Tarragona Ciudad has unveiled the xi edition of the Gastronomic Days Romesco & Macabeus 100% DO Tarragona, set to take place from 30 October to 15 November at 18 participating restaurants. This initiative is supported by the Tarragona City Council through the Municipal Tourism Board of Tarragona, the DO Tarragona, and the Port of Tarragona.
During the event, participating establishments will offer menus and tastings featuring romesco sauce, paired with wines made from macabeo grapes from the DO Tarragona. The aim is to highlight the city's maritime cuisine, promote local consumption, and strengthen the connection between gastronomy and the region.
The presentation was attended by Montse Adan, president of the Municipal Tourism Board and councillor for Tourism, Commerce and Economic Promotion of Tarragona; Maria Rosa Blanch, president of the DO Tarragona; and Joan M. Basora, head of the Department of External Relations and Port City, who are collaborating on this initiative to boost local gastronomy and promote regional products.
The 18 participating restaurants include: Restaurant L’Àncora del Serrallo, Flamingo, Restaurant Brisa, Casa Balcells, El Llagut, La Morada, La Xarxa, Vadegust Restaurant, Selvático Wellness Food & Cocktails, El Pòsit del Serrallo, La Sardineta, El Galliner de l’Antiquari, Restaurant Ca l’Eulàlia, Pizza Boscos, Merceria 34, La Jartá, Viking by JD, and El Rincón Extremeño del Piti.
The gastronomic days will feature a dedicated website where visitors can explore the culinary offerings, geolocate participating establishments, and vote for their favourite proposals. This interactive platform allows diners to actively engage in the initiative and contribute to the recognition of the restaurants.
The xi Gastronomic Days Romesco & Macabeus aim to further establish Tarragona as a gastronomic destination, showcasing local dining and the quality of regional products.
