Renfe is set to strengthen its rail connection between Asturias and Madrid in anticipation of the Todos los Santos holiday, which falls on 1 November. The company will introduce additional trains and expand the capacity of several services to accommodate the high travel demand during this busy period.
From 30 October to 3 November, nearly 23,000 seats will be available on trains from Asturias. On Monday, 2 November, a special AVE service, numbered 4200, will operate between Gijón and Madrid, using S-106 trainsets. This train will depart from Gijón at 20:00, making stops in Oviedo and León before continuing to the capital.
In the opposite direction, on Tuesday, 3 November, an AVE train will leave Madrid for Gijón at 07:10, also using S-106 trainsets. This service will provide over 500 seats and will replace the usual Alvia service, which was scheduled to depart at 07:04.
Renfe will also adjust the schedule for the AVE 4110 service from Gijón to Madrid on Tuesday, 3 November, which will now depart at 12:08 instead of 11:09. Passengers who already hold tickets for connected services will be offered alternative travel options.
These enhancements to the service from Asturias will also be implemented on 9 and 10 November in conjunction with the local Almudena festival in Madrid.
