Tàrrega has hosted its traditional golden wedding anniversary celebration at the Casal Cívic, honouring three couples from the city who are celebrating 50 years of marriage. The event took place on Sunday, 25 October, and was attended by mayor Rosa Maria Perelló, who congratulated the couples on their half-century of companionship.
During the festivities, the couples received numerous expressions of affection from friends and family. In a gesture representing the Tàrrega City Council, the mayor presented each couple with a miniature replica of the Àliga de Tàrrega, a significant figure in the local bestiary and a well-known symbol of traditional culture.
