The local government of Vigo has allocated €28,000 to the Enlaza Vigo programme, which focuses on raising awareness and preventing gender violence among the city's youth. This initiative is part of a broader effort to educate students in secondary schools, sixth form colleges, and vocational training institutions.
According to the mayor, the programme will include various activities designed to sensitise students about the issue of gender violence. These will encompass training sessions, artistic expression workshops, and advocacy activities.
The Enlaza Vigo programme will culminate in a central event on 25 November, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Students from various educational institutions in Vigo will participate in this significant occasion.
