José López Campos, the Minister of Culture, Language and Youth of Galicia, recently met with Luciano Alfaya, the dean of the Official College of Architects of Galicia, to explore new collaboration opportunities between their institutions regarding cultural heritage. This meeting aims to build on previous partnerships in this field.
It is noteworthy that the Xunta de Galicia and the architects' association recently worked together to address questions from local councils concerning the amendments to the Law 5/2016 on the Cultural Heritage of Galicia. This law, which came into effect earlier this year, allows certain procedures related to heritage assets to be resolved by local councils and individuals without requiring approval from the regional administration.
