Caudete's fruit and vegetable refrigeration chamber receives LEADER fund grant
The mayor of Caudete, José Miguel Mollá, attended a contract signing event in Montealegre del Castillo, where grants were awarded to boost the local economy. The beneficiary, Frigohortofruticola Caudetana, will receive €12,505.90 to purchase an evaporative condenser.
The mayor of Caudete, José Miguel Mollá, participated in an event held at the town hall of Montealegre del Castillo on 14 October, where twenty-two contracts were signed to distribute grants aimed at stimulating and promoting the economy in the Monte Ibérico corridor of Almansa.
The recipient company from Caudete, Frigohortofruticola Caudetana Sdad. Coop. (the apple chamber), will use the funding to acquire an evaporative condenser. This system is designed to reduce heat in refrigeration or air conditioning systems, improving efficiency and cutting energy consumption by up to 15%.
The new system prioritises efficiency and maintenance reduction, incorporating EC motors and variable speeds for continuous airflow control, as well as corrosion-resistant materials that extend the equipment's lifespan. Additionally, it features anti-scale systems and intelligent purging to optimise water quality and minimise limescale build-up.
