The event will take place on Sunday, 22 November, at 12:00 in the Villa de Colmenar Viejo Auditorium, presented by comedian and actor José Mota. Mariano de Andrés Santos will be named 'Hijo Predilecto' (Beloved Son); Luis Fernando Parcero Díez will receive the title of 'Hijo Adoptivo' (Adopted Son); and Ángel Luis Gutiérrez Pérez will be awarded the Gold Medal 'Las Bordadoras'. Additionally, Multiópticas, the Centre for Adult Education (CEPA), and Julián Díaz Rubio will receive Honourable Mentions.

The 22nd of November marks the Day of Colmenar Viejo, celebrating 522 years since King Ferdinand II of Aragon granted the Privilege of Villazgo in 1504, which allowed the town to gain independence from the jurisdiction of Manzanares el Real, the head of the county at that time.

In recognition of this occasion, the Colmenar Viejo Town Council will grant various honours and distinctions to acknowledge the extraordinary merits of individuals, institutions, or entities that have provided services to the municipality, have bestowed honours, or are otherwise closely linked to the town.

Residents of Colmenar Viejo wishing to attend the event can collect free tickets at the auditorium box office on Friday, 20 November, from 18:00 to 21:00, and on Saturday, 21 November, from 11:00 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 21:00, until capacity is reached.
