Concert by panorama orchestra cancelled following train accident in Toledo

The concert by the panorama orchestra, intended to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Spain's Transition to democracy, has been cancelled following the declaration of three days of official mourning. This decision comes in light of a tragic train accident that occurred on Wednesday in the province of Toledo, resulting in numerous fatalities.

As a result, the distribution of tickets planned for Wednesday has been cancelled, and the 8,000 tickets already issued for the concert are now invalid. Additionally, children's activities, a youth market, and a concert by the Benidorm orchestra, which were part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, have also been suspended.

The local council has arranged for a minute of silence to be observed on Wednesday evening at 20:00 in memory of the victims of the accident. The council extends its condolences and solidarity to the victims, their families, and all those affected.

Other planned activities, including cultural events and tourist routes to commemorate All Saints' Day and Halloween, have also been postponed. The routes originally scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will now take place on 5 and 6 November, while the visit to the Casa de los Izarra has been moved to the following weekend, 7 and 8 November. Furthermore, the 'Infernus Town' haunted attraction will proceed as planned on Saturday, 7 November, while the non-scary version has been rescheduled for Sunday, 8 November, at the originally intended time.
