The concert by Sofía Ros at the Casa do Saber on the Lugo campus on Monday, 26 October, at 20:15, will open a new week packed with cultural events at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). The Cultural Autumn programme will feature music, diverse discussions, and audiovisual screenings.
On the same day, the first of the 'Memoria democrática' meetings will take place at the Pazo de Montenegro from 17:30. María Valcárcel, a USC professor and cultural journalist, is overseeing this project. Prior registration is required for attendance.
On 28 October at 19:00, a new 'Eccontro de Lúa Chea' will be held at the cafeteria of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering on the Lugo campus, focusing on Queixería Bisqato and Tofu Landeira. The discussion will revolve around the personal and professional experiences of the project leaders and the challenges of creating value-added agro-food projects.
On the same day at 19:30, the Casa do Saber will screen 'Los ilusos 13+13', a film directed by Jonás Trueba.
The scientific dissemination cycle 'Ciencia e cañas' will take place on 29 October at 18:00 in the Galeno Room of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Finally, 'Visións de cine: onde empezan as historias' featuring Pepe Coira, Andrés Goteira, Adra Pallón, and Clara Coira will be held on 31 October at the Casa do Saber, starting at 11:30.
Additionally, registration is still open for the V Sound Landscape Contest, the VIII Video Creation Contest, and the USC Orchestra and Choir.
In Santiago de Compostela, visitors can view the exhibition 'A Biblioteca América: un soño inaugurado en 1926' at the Salón Artesoado of the Colexio de Fonseca until 31 October, as well as the exhibition 'Agora hai terras de millo onde antes estaba Troia' at the University Church until 20 November.
