Enric Brunet highlights evolution of PMS towards hotel profitability at TIS 2026

Enric Brunet, Sales Executive at Noray, shared his insights on the evolution of hotel management systems during his participation in TIS 2026. He emphasised that the goal is no longer just to manage better, but to utilise technology to improve outcomes and profitability.

The digital transformation of the hospitality industry requires access to accurate information to enhance profitability, control costs, and make swift decisions. Brunet introduced the concept of a Profit Management System (PMS), which integrates operations and finance into a single platform, providing a more comprehensive view of the business.

Hotels need to understand what is happening within their operations to make quick decisions with a global perspective. Therefore, the PMS must evolve into a system that connects financial management with operations, transforming data into useful information for decision-making.

Brunet also highlighted the advantages of integrating PMS and hotel ERP systems, eliminating fragmentation that leads to duplication and errors. With a unified system, greater control, automation, and traceability can be achieved, which is particularly relevant for hotel chains.

The importance of placing finance at the centre of decision-making lies in the understanding that selling more does not always equate to being more profitable. Grasping the costs behind revenues is essential for assessing the health of the business and making informed decisions.

Hotels face challenges such as margin pressure and the need for rapid responses. The key is to have a clear view of the business and automate processes to gain efficiency.

Brunet concluded by advising hotel directors to consider the management model they wish to build for the future when renewing their management technology, choosing platforms that enable connected management and are prepared for upcoming challenges.

Noray's participation in TIS was positively evaluated, highlighting the excellent coordination and communication with Turistec, which facilitated knowledge exchange and the generation of new opportunities in the tourism sector.
