Ernest Urtasun has been appointed as Spain's new minister of culture, succeeding Miquel Iceta, who held the position since 2023. The handover took place recently, marking a significant transition in the cultural landscape of the country.
Despite the absence of a dedicated ministry and state support, Urtasun emphasised the importance of culture remaining vibrant and accessible to the public. He stated, “Culture will continue to thrive in the streets and among the people.”
