This weekend, Fuenlabrada will be a hub of cultural activity, showcasing the popular musical 'The Book of Mormon' and the theatrical production 'Malquerida', in addition to a range of Halloween celebrations.
The weekend's highlights include the arrival of 'The Book of Mormon', a satirical musical that has captivated audiences worldwide. The performance will take place at the Teatro Tomás y Valiente today at 20:00. The show follows the adventures of two young Mormon missionaries in a remote Ugandan village, where they encounter pressing issues faced by the locals, leading to a narrative rich in humour, social commentary, and unforgettable songs.
On Sunday, 'Malquerida', a contemporary adaptation of the renowned play by Jacinto Benavente, will be directed by Natalia Menéndez and features actress Aitana Sánchez-Gijón. This rural tragedy unfolds following the engagement of Acacia and Faustino at the estate of Raimunda and Esteban, culminating in the murder of the fiancé and unveiling a dark web of passions, jealousy, and violence.
Additionally, the Pollina will once again host the Pueblo fantasma, a family-friendly Halloween event that is free of charge and designed for children and families. Taking place on Saturday from 11:00 to 18:00, the event will transform the area into a ghostly village featuring terrifying passages, workshops, performances, and concerts.
For those seeking more thrills, a teen party will be held today at the Espacio Joven la Plaza, along with other activities. This afternoon, the Teatro Josep Carreras will present Circo Abierto and Las Sin Sombreo 'Ahora', a contemporary circus show that blends various artistic disciplines. This musical homage, created by Paco Damas, celebrates the women writers of the Generation of '27, who defied conventions by walking through Madrid without the mandated hats. The performance will take place at the Centro 8 de marzo at 19:00, with free entry.
