Girona's fires de Sant Narcís nominated for arc awards 2026

The programming of the fires de Sant Narcís in Girona has been nominated for the arc awards 2026 in the category of best festival programming. The awards, presented by the Professional Association of Representatives, Promoters and Managers of Catalonia (ARC), are a benchmark in the live music industry, recognising the efforts of artists and professionals who make musical activities possible across the region.

“It is great news that the fires are nominated for the arc awards 2026. This recognition highlights the quality and diversity of Girona's musical programming and the work of everyone who makes it possible,” said Quim Ayats and Bartrina, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture at the Girona City Council.

Ayats added, “The fires are a space for gathering and collective celebration, and music is a fundamental part of that. This nomination encourages us to continue investing in quality programming that is open to all and brings life to the city.”

The fires de Sant Narcís are competing for the award against the Fiesta Mayor of Castellar del Vallès, the Festas del Tura of Olot, and the Festas de la Mare de Déu de Misericòrdia of Reus. This nomination underscores the significance of Girona's festival programming and the central role of live music in the celebration and cultural life of the city.

The arc awards ceremony will take place on 24 November at the Palau Firal i de Congressos in Tarragona, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the association. The winners across twelve categories will be announced during the event, which will be hosted by Yolanda Sey and broadcasted by La Xarxa.

The arc awards annually recognise the contributions of artists, managers, promoters, programmers, communicators, and institutions that support the development of live music in Catalonia.
