International tour operators and journalists explore Lleida at AdventureELEVATE Europe

A total of 43 international tour operators and journalists are discovering the Pyrenees and Terres de Lleida over two days, as part of five familiarisation and press trips organised by the Catalan Tourism Agency (ACT) in collaboration with the Lleida Tourism Board. This initiative coincides with the international AdventureELEVATE Europe conference being held in Val d'Aran.

The event is spearheaded by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), a global leader in adventure and nature tourism, boasting over 30,000 members. Participants in the familiarisation trips will explore various regions including Segrià, Pla d'Urgell, Noguera, Pallars Jussà, Pallars Sobirà, and Alta Ribagorça, concluding their journey in Val d'Aran.

During their stay, attendees will experience the active tourism, nature, culture, and gastronomy offerings of the Lleida region. The AdventureELEVATE Europe conference is expected to attract around 300 professionals from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Italy, and Finland. This will be the largest tourism professional meeting held in the Pyrenees to date, taking place from Tuesday to Thursday in Val d'Aran.

The aim of the three-day event, which includes presentations and meetings with tour operators, is to position Catalonia, and specifically the Pyrenees, as a leading global destination for active and nature tourism.
