La Roda kicks off 25th anniversary tour of Radio Castilla-La Mancha with live music

La Roda will host a free concert on 31 October at 20:00 in the Casa de la Cultura, featuring performances by local band Vermú, Mauri from Toledo, and Sugarcrush from Ciudad Real. This concert marks the beginning of the 25th anniversary celebrations for Radio Castilla-La Mancha, which aims to bring live music to various towns across the region and promote emerging talent.

The mayor of La Roda, Juan Ramón Amores, and the director of programmes at Radio Castilla-La Mancha, Juan Manuel Lorente, presented this initiative. Amores expressed gratitude to the public broadcaster for choosing La Roda to launch the concert tour, highlighting the event's combination of music, culture, and the promotion of talent from Castilla-La Mancha. He encouraged local residents to enjoy an evening that will showcase the music of three local bands.

Juan Manuel Lorente also thanked the collaboration of the Town Hall and explained that the station aims to share this celebration with its listeners and emerging artists. He emphasised La Roda's strong musical ties and cultural activities, such as the Festival de los Sentidos, and invited the public to take advantage of this opportunity for a night of free live music.

The anniversary programme will also feature a live broadcast of the morning magazine 'Castilla-La Mancha Hoy' from Posada del Sol on 30 October, from 09:35 to 11:00. This programme will highlight various aspects of the municipality, including its gastronomic and festive traditions, heritage, and its role as a regional hub.

The 25th anniversary celebrations will continue in other locations, including Cuenca on 19 November, Sigüenza on 20 November, Toledo on 26 November, and Alcázar de San Juan on 27 November. Through this tour, Radio Castilla-La Mancha aims to thank its listeners for 25 years of support and reinforce its commitment to regional culture and support for local artists.
