Los Coloraos bring tribute band to daimiel for concert

The Pabellón Ferial in Daimiel will welcome 'Lo mejor del último', a tribute concert to the renowned Spanish band El Último de la Fila, on Saturday, 10 October. The event is organised by the Cofradía del Santísimo Cristo de la Columna y Nuestra Señora de la Amargura.

Carlos Fernández de Marcos, president of the Coloraos, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating on Radio Daimiel, "If we close our eyes, it feels like Manolo García is singing." The concert aims to sustain the cofradía's activities throughout the year and primarily to fund the construction of their new headquarters.

The doors will open at 21:00, with the concert beginning at 22:00 and lasting over an hour and a half. The tribute band has performed in the municipality in the past, and this event follows a postponement last year due to the cofradía's 450th anniversary celebrations. The concert coincides with the return of the original group to the stage.

Following the tribute performance, a DJ will entertain attendees until 04:00, featuring a mix of current hits, rumba, and danceable rhythms suitable for all audiences.

Proceeds and ticket information

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the cofradía's social initiatives, including the acquisition of land for their future headquarters. Fernández de Marcos explained, "This initiative arises from our economic needs due to ongoing projects; we need to reinvent ourselves, and we believe this is a quicker and easier way to raise funds."

Tickets are priced at €15 in advance and €18 at the door, available at Floristería D´Lirio, Imprenta Fernández, Martínez Moda, and through members of the board.

Fernández de Marcos encouraged locals and visitors to join the evening's festivities, especially as the weekend coincides with the extended holiday for the Feast of the Pilar. He concluded, "Then we complain that there’s nothing happening in Daimiel; we have an opportunity to go out, enjoy music, and gather with friends."
