The Municipal Library of Daimiel is hosting a week of cultural activities aimed at promoting reading and introducing various cultural expressions to its users. The programme features activities for reading clubs, an oral storytelling event, and themed spaces dedicated to Japanese culture.
From Monday, 19 October, until 27 November, the library will showcase the 'Konnichiwa Japón' displays in both the Children's Room and the Adult Room. This initiative allows visitors to explore Japanese culture through selected resources and materials available in both spaces. Starting 14 December, these displays will transition to a Christmas theme titled 'Navidad, Navidad'.
The programme continues on Tuesday, 20 October, with a gathering of reading clubs and a social event at the Municipal Library, scheduled for 16:30. This meeting will serve as a platform for participants from different groups to share their reading experiences.
Additionally, on Thursday, 22 October, at 18:00, the Adult Room will host an event with Aldo Méndez, a Cuban storyteller renowned for his work in oral narration. This event will provide the audience with an opportunity to engage with the art of storytelling. Tickets for this event sold out a few days ago, as announced by the library on its social media channels.
