The winter sports schools in Ribadeo have reported a successful season, with a total of 517 participants. Francisco José Silvent, the town's councillor for sports, highlighted that the programme offers 13 different sports, including basketball, football, futsal, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, skating, table tennis, swimming, athletics, inline hockey, badminton, chess, and paddle tennis.
Silvent expressed satisfaction with the turnout, stating, "We are very pleased with the reception. We hope the children enjoy the sports and absorb their values." The winter sports schools commenced between 16 September and 15 October, with the programme set to conclude between 15 May and 15 June.
The initiative is aimed at children born between 2013 and 2022, inclusive. The winter sports schools were introduced last September by councillor Silvent and municipal sports technician Iván López.
