Santa Cruz de Tenerife is set to embrace the final weekend of October with a vibrant cultural and leisure agenda themed around Halloween, the Comic Fair, and the Tricontinental Craft Fair. The programme includes live music, theatre, family activities, youth initiatives, and exhibitions, although it is subject to change due to the national mourning declared following the recent train accident in Toledo.
Key events include activities at the Comic Fair taking place in Plaza del Príncipe and the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts, musical performances at the Tricontinental Craft Fair, and various events organised for the spookiest night of the year.
Comic Fair and family activities
The family programme will be particularly focused on the Comic Fair, which will commence on Friday with activities in Plaza del Príncipe and the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts. Saturday will feature signing sessions, face painting, role-playing games, dance exhibitions, and comic presentations. On Sunday, there will be author meet-and-greets, an Idol competition, a talk dedicated to the Star Wars universe, and a cosplay parade.
Additionally, the Central Municipal Library will host two family-oriented events on Friday: a drawing and character creation workshop titled "Monsters and Fantasy Creatures" led by Carlos Miranda, and "When Death Came to Our House," a session with Laura Escuela addressing grief through stories and shared dynamics.
Tricontinental Craft Fair
The eighth edition of the Tricontinental Craft Fair, focusing on the traditions and craft techniques of Europe, Africa, and America—with Mexico as the highlight—will offer workshops, demonstrations, and musical performances from Thursday to Sunday.
Halloween film cycle
Cinema will also take centre stage with a Halloween film cycle at Espacio Price, showcasing horror titles over several days. The schedule includes screenings of "The Terror Calls at Its Door" and "Night of the Living Dead" on Thursday; "The Terror Has No Shape" and "Hellraiser" on Friday; and "Fright Night" and "The Lost Boys" on Saturday. The cycle will conclude on Sunday with "Terrifyingly Dead" and "Hellraiser 2."
