Tres Cantos launches diverse cultural programme from 6 to 8 November

Tres Cantos will feature an extensive programme of cultural, scientific, educational, and family leisure activities from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November. Organised by various municipal departments, the events are designed for audiences of all ages.

Exhibitions and art

The exhibition calendar kicks off today, 6 November, with La Memoria de la Tierra, by the Manchegan artist Ángeles Sacedón, at the Town Hall foyer from 19:00. This exhibition, which will be open until 28 February 2027, explores painting as an emotional sedimentation process, where material becomes a record of time, experiences, and personal transformations.

Additionally, the 53/35 años/obras (and some off-menu) exhibition by Francisco Antolín continues at the Baluarte Hall of the Cultural Centre, showcasing a selection of 35 representative works from over five decades of artistic career, available until 29 November. Other exhibitions by Silvia Bragado and Clemente Gerez, along with the collective show Dimensión 4, will be open until 22 November.

Cultural activities

The Semana de la Ciencia (Science Week) activities will also commence today at 17:00 in the Lope de Vega Municipal Library, featuring a screening of the film Europa Report as part of the film forum series Nanotechnology in Cinema, organised by the Institute of Micro and Nanotechnology (IMN-CNM, CSIC). The session will include a discussion with experts in scientific research and space outreach, with free admission until capacity is reached.

Later today, at 20:00, the Cultural Centre Auditorium will host a new session of Viernes de Cata (Friday Tasting), focusing on wine paired with live music. Musical events will continue on Saturday 7 November at 19:30 with the concert Handel All’Italiana, performed by Delirivm Musica, a group recognised with the GEMA Award for Best Baroque Group, presenting a programme dedicated to the sonatas of Georg Friedrich Handel.

On Sunday 8 November at 19:00, the Municipal Auditorium will feature the micro-theatre performance Trilogía Peepshow, consisting of three comedies by Jorge Redondo that humorously address issues related to information manipulation, lies, and personal relationships.
