The fifth edition of the International Fair of the Metal Industry and Technologies, known as Mindtech, is set to be held in Vigo from 27 to 29 April 2027. The event is anticipated to attract more than 300 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors.
During the event's presentation, Vigo's mayor highlighted the city's entrepreneurial spirit and technological capabilities, stating, "It will be the chronicle of an announced success and the pride of a city that is driven by its economy." He emphasised the importance of high electrical tension for industrial development, asserting, "Vigo is a territory where industry has a significant pull. Let us continue to promote and support it." The mayor also pledged municipal support for Mindtech in the coming years, wishing it a "long and successful life."
Mindtech is organised by ASIME (Association of Metal Industries and Associated Technologies of Galicia), which represents over 600 companies in the sector. The fair is positioned as a key event in the Iberian Peninsula, serving as a crucial hub for industrial business across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Atlantic countries.
The presentation featured several notable figures, including Enrique Mallón and Justo Sierra, director general and president of Mindtech; David Regades, state delegate in the Vigo Free Trade Zone Consortium; Lino Comesaña, director of Institutional Business at Abanca; Javier Domínguez, director of the Energy Department of the Xunta de Galicia; and Luisa Sánchez, vice president of the Provincial Council.
