The sports councillor, Francisco Villaescusa, has expressed gratitude towards the Las Pinaíllas Golf Club for its efforts in attracting sports tourism to Albacete. He made these remarks while attending the DP World Tour, which has been taking place since last Friday and features 75 players from multiple countries vying for a spot in the World Phase.
Villaescusa highlighted that the event has brought over 200 individuals to the city, including players, caddies, judges, international press, and their companions. These visitors have contributed significantly to the local economy through spending on accommodation, dining, transportation, leisure activities, and other expenses, in addition to enhancing the city's image.
“We are delighted and thankful to the Golf Club for their outstanding facilities and the commitment of their team, which continues to promote golf, attract visitors, and foster sports tourism that can greatly benefit Albacete,” Villaescusa stated.
