The delegate of the Xunta in Ferrol, Martina Aneiros, visited the municipality of As Pontes to review the results of the infrastructure improvements made in the industrial parks of Penapurreira and Os Airíos, funded by the Galician Government.
As Pontes is one of the municipalities benefiting from financial aid for the enhancement of local business parks, provided by the Consellería de Economía e Industria. The municipality received two contributions totalling over 120,000 euros: one for the paving of Road 2 and horizontal signage in the Os Airíos industrial park, and another for the improvement of horizontal signage in the Penapurreira park.
This year, the funding programme has a budget of 3.45 million euros, covering up to 80% of eligible investments, with a maximum of 120,000 euros for individual applications and 138,000 euros for joint requests.
The eligible activities include improvements to public lighting, wastewater treatment plants, waste management, and road infrastructure, both for access and within the industrial parks. Additionally, this year, funds can also be allocated to enhance public spaces and infrastructure in business parks to aid their integration into the surrounding landscape.
