Andalusia announces €950,000 in funding for music industry projects

The Andalusian Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Sport has announced a funding initiative totalling €950,000 to support the music industry in the region. This funding will benefit 60 selected projects across various aspects of the music sector, from creation and production to exhibition, distribution, and internationalisation.

Published on the website of the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, the funding aims to strengthen the entire value chain of music in Andalusia. The initiative is part of the 2026 financial year support programme for music promotion in the region, designed to enhance professional development within the sector and ensure access to diverse and high-quality cultural offerings for the public.

Funding lines and supported projects

The funding is distributed across seven support lines, which include:

  • Record and audiovisual production
  • Concert and musical show production
  • Tours and attendance at professional events
  • International market promotion
  • Professional meetings
  • Festivals and musical cycles
  • Stable programming in private concert venues

Among the beneficiaries are notable festivals such as Monkey Week, Música en Segura, Blues Cazorla, Jazz Cádiz, the International Jazz Festival of Vejer, Electrolunch, the Renaissance and Baroque Music Festival, and the Guitar Festival of Seville. In total, thirteen festivals, fairs, and musical cycles will receive support for live music events.

Nine private concert venues in Andalusia are also included in the funding scheme. Beneficiary venues include Sala X, Sala La2, Malandar Music Club, Sala El Tren, Sala Hollander, Clarence Jazz Club, Gallo Rojo Jazz Club, and Clasijazz.

The funding line for record and audiovisual production has awarded grants to 19 projects, focusing on new recordings, heritage recoveries, and productions in jazz, flamenco, classical music, and contemporary proposals, including those presented by Accademia del Piacere, Julián Sánchez, and Ruido Clavel.

Additionally, the concert and musical show production support line will promote seven initiatives aimed at fostering the creation and premiere of new artistic projects for diverse audiences. Ten projects will receive funding for music distribution, with eight focusing on tours and participation in significant festivals and events, while two will facilitate the presence of Andalusian companies at international professional markets to promote their artistic catalogues.
